What size are you looking at...
195/50 15s are pretty cheap from a few place at the moment including ebay.
Cheers

I would be interested in a set of 185-60/13s as well if they are cheap!

Hi given that 185/60/13 is the same size as what the locost championship use there are two suppliers that most use for the best price and service.
Polley motorsport
Adams + page tyres

hi matt, thanks for that, how many rounds do you usually get out of a set of tyres? there's gonna be quite a few questions poppin up on here
from me as ive decided to give racing a go ( or at least thats my idea) my old mans just finishin building his locost so the next step is to start
building another to race. it was your video i think that gave me the final push to have a go. i'm off and pick an engine up 2mor that i got off
ebay. so its all go from here.

I used to buff my tyres to 5mm and they would last a whole season. Buff to 4mm and they "might" last the season.

Hi who let a ^ retired or is that a sleeping locost racer in here .
As dickie says above. Most buff them to 4mm-5mm and get a full season and thier test days out off them. But it also depends a little on the driving
style and preshures being run.
It has to be said though that if you are going to be running in the championship. That purchasing the tyres from polley dose mean that if you
encounter any problems at a race meeting (Ie puncture ballance or just a change of tyre) He will be more than helpfull and a few £s saved if you
have already brought your tyres of him.
He dose attend almost all of the 750 meetings.
cheers matt
Edit. Please dont blame me for getting you involved in the maddness of locost racing . Eventually when you get the car on track you are going to
love it.

Madness? What madness? I tried to give up once - that lasted less than 3 months. I'm going cold turkey this time, but our new house (assuming
sale goes through OK) does have a large garage....

I'd ring Bracknell Tyre & Battery on Longshot Lane in Bracknell as a baseline. Rarely find anywhere that beats their off the cuff price.

Craig - at the risk of asking what could be a very personal question - what happened to you at Donington and caused the, errr,
'affliction' which you mention above?

That's why I always went for a 6 point harness, rather than 5 point.
