What was the score with the 2 locost races called off, i would have been well gutted ?
It allways seems to be the locosts that suffer too......

Didn't suprise me Jon, it took them a long time to get Tony Absolom out his car after his crash, looked pretty bad at first so I think they
wanted to be careful, thankfully he walked into the ambulance.
I guess they then just didn't have time for the locost races but as you say it was a shame as they are always very close racing.
Rich.

It was a bit of a bugger, yes, though we've been assured that we'll get the race back later in the year. Whether it means turning a
single race weekend into a double-header or what, i don't know.
Personally even though i'd heard a report that the Kit Car driver was ok, i was still a little relieved to have the race postponed. I'd
been racing whilst severely jet-lagged and 4 races in one afternoon woul dhave been just too much.
Great fun while it lasted though! Hope the rest of the year brings more of the same.

Which races
Hi ,
I was in Group 2 and had a problem with oil pressure. Any idea which races were scratched? I was wondering whether I might get an extra go later in
the season

I know everyone probably thinks it but thought I would verbalise it.
If you had an incident wouldnt you prefer that the stewards took their time and did it all safely (for them and you) rather than rush cos of a
race?
At least by the sounds of it no serious damage done.
If you wanna beat me up over these comments hopefully comming up to Brands.

Jamjah - no-one will disagree with you on that - Marshalls can take all the time they want to do it properly - equally sometimes they have to do it
instantly to prevent further injury (fire etc). Either way, they're the boss, and we're all jolly grateful.
As for postponing the race - few Locost competitors will complain. No-one "really" likes Mallory, so to get another race at another track
is ace! Besides it was still 7.30 when I got home, imagine what time it would have been if I'd had to do another 2 races!

I think you have well and truely got hold of the wrong end of the stick.
1, there was a incident during a kit car race, the marshals ect did everything correctly as they allways do and did a 1st class job of dealing with
it, with out them there would be no motorsport. In all my dealings with any marshals, race officials, doctors ect, and yes i have had first hand
experience of all these services during a race meeting, I for one appreciate just how good and proffesional they are.
2. Because of this incident the meeting was running late, it was not running late because it was delt with poorly but was running late beacause it was
dealt with properly and proffesionaly, do you think i would have liked to have seen the incident "coned off" and delt with whilst the next
race was put on ?
3, So now too the point of my origional post, it seems that for whatever reason if there is a race or races to be lost on a programme it is allways
the locosts that suffer.
4. i wish i had kept my gob shut in the 1st place.
5. there is no 5, other than lets not start talking about "beating up" i for one would rather share a pint n a fag than punch's, oh
i would'nt dream of drinking during a race meeting, just in case that gets picked up on too.

Dont think anyone misunderstood you. The key thing is that hopefully he's alright and will be back for the next round.

So whats wrong with mallory? (i'm only asking cause its my local circuit) From a spectators point of view its pretty good as you can see a lot
of the action.
(ok, i'm going to guess too short a track!)

Short isn't a major issue. It is very narrow, and has little run off. Also, for Locosts, from the hairpin it is flat out all the way around to
the hairpin again, less a brief dab on the brakes for the Esses.

Awww Dickie, i've got to take issue with you there. For a start Mallory isn't narrow; we've fitted 4 cars abreast into the Esses
before now!
I used to hate Mallory because it only had 3 corners to speak of and just pales in comparison to other tracks like Cadwell and Brands. Over time
though i've learned to love it for the challenge of seeing if you really can take Gerards flat (no!) and for the close racing it always
produces.
Last year we were lucky enough to race on the full International Circuit at Oulton and i loved every second of just driving it. When it came to the
actual racing though there wasn't much going on, just a few hairy maneouvres around the Knickerbrook chicane.
Last Sunday at Mallory i overtook someone round the outside at Gerards and got past both Brendan and Alastair at the same time round the outside at
the Esses. I was acutely aware that i was lucky to be getting away with such moves but the thrill of doing it was easily above that from doing a
quick lap around Oulton.
Mallory rocks. Not for what it is but for what it produces - great racing!

Other plus side is it is three fields away from my house/workshop!! I can usually hear most of the engine failures from my workshop if I'm doing
quiet work.
Suppose I could do emergency race car work on race days, you could pretty much push a car to mine from the circuit! (better to tow it though I think!)

Well Dickie, no wonder I was at the back I braked for all the corners & bends still , new car, new track, old git. Sorry I didn`t get round to
meeting everybody but the silly sod had no photo on my licence and spent the morning grovelling to the steward & photographer before getting to
practice with minutes to spare (67) Text
