B&Q sell it in aluminium. About £10/0.5m. Bit dear I thought but when there is little alternative what chance have you got?

I've used the "David's aluminium bodywork repair mesh" that i picked up from the shop down the road for £1.50 per sheet (200mm square, i think).

The holes in the mesh are diamond-shaped and slightly larger than 1mm if you measure lengthways. It's pretty damn fine though and the scrutes didn't look twice at it at Mallory.

It's funny that Robin Knight reckoned that the bonnet sealing thing was an MSA requirement which they had to (reluctantly) pass on, yet if you look in the safety section of the Blue Book it is nowhere to be seen. Hmmm.

I got pulled on it at Mallory, as i read the regs i thought i was ok as i'm rear engined, they let me race as the 750regs do state front engined cars with no reference to rear engine (i had him check it) He went on to give me a hard time with the rest of the car though so Iv,e since covered it as above with body repair mesh as i aint gonna fall out with scrutineers.
