This year's racing

Just noticed a couple of things in the Locost Championship pack....

Firstly, we appear to have a 28min + 1 lap race at Cadwell - excellent.

Secondly, we generally seem to get charged about £15-£30 per event MORE than other formulae. Doesn't really seem to be the LOW COST formula any more then!!! Adds up over the season, especially as we seem to have a greater than average chance of having a race cancelled!

There's been quite a bit of discussion about this on the Locost racing Yahoo group recently. The price difference issue is going to get raised at the big Formula meeting with the 750MC in a week and a bit's time. Is supposed to be due to the allowance for separate practices and heats at all our races this year but the sums don't add up.

The Cadwell thing seems fantastic and is supposed to be a kind of gift to us from the 750MC for being so mean last year. Problem is they haven't given any consideration to the practicalities - most people's fuel tanks aren't big enough to last for 30 minutes at Cadwell. Do we have to pay £150ish for a new tank just for use at one race? Not very Locost either...

I reckon 23 minutes plus 1 lap should crack it for most people.
