Rollcenter lap timers

Does anybody have any experience using a rollcenter lap timer? I heard most circuits have a transmitter beacon in the pit wall. I am interested in getting the T200 model unless anybody can suggest otherwise. I hope to fit it in my locost racer. It seems that demon tweeks sell the exact same model with their own logo on it.

Hi, Roll Centre lap timers were and I expect still are used on all the cars at PalmerSport and we found them absolutely excellent and very reliable. Jonathan Palmer only uses the very best. I believe that all the circuits in this country use their beacons but I'm sure Martin Short at Rollcentre will put you right on that point.

A good bit of kit, simple to use and reliable.

I used to work for Shorty when he raced TVR Tuscans.
We used to put our own beacon (attached to a 12 car battery) on the pit wall.

That link should take you to the man who who makes the things, under his own name.

Cheers,
