Front section dimensions
Hi,
After looking on the forum I noticed that people are posting suggestions to offset the front piece linking bottom and top frames of chassis further
back at the top by 25mm to give a better positioning for the wishbones.
If this were to be done would it be race legal?? How have you overcome the apparent discrepencies in the 'book' with regard to the castor
angles and position of the wishbone mounts?? In fact how does 'rectifying discrepancies' in the book fit in with the racing regs in
general??
Please help as I am at a fairly early stage in construction and do not wish to fall foul of any scrutineers next season when I start racing the
beaut!!
Cheers,

I'm not sure how much variance is allowed, but I would be surprised if all measurements had to be exactly as per 'book' values.
However, since you are still at a stage to make descisions on this, I would suggest you either write to the 750MC or better still, come to a meeting
and have a word with the scrutes (when they're not busy, obviously) who are friendly guys and no doubt would be happy to chat.
Raced a Locost for a couple of years, then bought an Elise.
Now back building a Fisher Fury, can't yet decide on V8 power (which I already have waiting to go in) or some kind of V6 (which I'd have
to buy, when I can sell the Elise, if I sell the Elise).
I'm not the most decisive person in the world.
