What is it about Scotland - my Mrs suggested (sort of proposal in my book!)we got married as we were going up the Cairngorms in October (circa 1990),
in a bloody chairlift
No escape!!!!
Good news all the same, so congrats to the two of you

SHOPPING FOR A RING!!!!
You want to get Haynes latest book - "Make your own wedding ring for 250 pounds". All you need is to find a few diamonds in your local
scrap yard. When Ron went a few years ago there where hundreds although I believe they're a bit thin on the ground now.
I believe the second edition has a section on making babies.
Anyway, why buy a ring - you've got a lathe, show her how much you love her and make one!
(Congratulations and good luck for the next 50 or 60 years).

Congratulations, beware the 'we'll need a car with more seats' conversation
Only one thing more expensive than cars and houses...
No idea if it's what you/she want but it's quite possible to design and/or make your own rings.

Thanks chaps,
Sarah's building her own car slowly (RH Zero) so mine will be staying, no need to worry about that LOL
No idea about a date, no rush there I dont think as neither of us can afford it at the moment. A house is first on the agenda I think!
We will both be at Stoneleigh, so see you all there
As for Bianca, all I can say is she likes her as much as I do

Congrats to you David
I waited (dragged it out) until I was asked too - only polite really IMHO
Make sure you plan and have the day you want and not what others think you want would be my only piece of wisdom. I think too many people get sucked
into the big £££££££ white wedding thing.

I had been contemplating it, but you know how it is, no money for the important ring - we are as such ringless at the moment. But that does make it
easier as we can go ring shopping together
In all honesty it was a suprise as there was me thinking she was getting bored of me. Lol
congrats etc.
a ring? a used sump washer and some gold paint - job done.

Once again, thanks to all.
Hope to see you all at Stoneleigh again this year. If you can find my car (probs on either the MK or Locost stands) then I'll not be far away.
Do come and say hi to us both
