For Sale My Nearly Finished Mac#1 ZR
Well here goes. Here for sale is my 99% finished Mac#1 ZR. I want to start by saying that I won’t give the normal “I don’t have time” or “new baby has
meant” or even the old “due to work commitments”. In all honestly I’ve got bored. I know in these hallowed halls that’s tantamount to heresy, but it’s
the truth. With the cut off date to SVA looming I thought I’d give a better man (kit car wise  a chance to finish the car and get it on
the road. Because it really deserves it.
As some of the older members on this forum will know I bought the car off here about three years ago. In those three years (and don’t laugh) I’ve put
the seats in, done a carbon fibre rear boot cover, installed a new stainless steel fuel tank (one of Weldermans very own) and also redone the dash
using a nice Carbon Mods chunk of carbon fibre.
To finish (and thanks to Steve H for coming round last week and helping me identify what needs doing).
A proper tune (it idles a bit rough at the moment)
The suspension and geometry need sorting out
The odd nut cap and edge trim here and there
The front indicators need to be longer
The exhaust header could do with a paint
Exhaust might need fiddling with as it may be a bit loud for SVA
I can’t get the rear fog to work
Steering column shroud needs fettling to fit
The Alloy Fabrication battery holder needs fixing in
For the majority of the member on here I’d say that was all easy stuff.
It’s a standard 2.0 litre Pinto engine (1988). Loads of new parts have been used and I have bulging folder with all the receipts/information from the
original owner and ones from myself. I also have nearly 800 pictures detailing the original build.
I don’t expect to make any money of the car, I just want to try and get back what I paid for it including at least a bit for items I’ve bought, so I
was looking in the region of £3,750. If anyone has any questions I’ll do my best to answer them.
Cheers
Dave
P.S. I wont be around the rest of today as I have to go out, but I'll be sure to answer any u2u's etc as soon as I get back

I know mate, but I think I've lost the urge for the whole thing if I'm honest. Just don't want it in the garage gathering dust and
slowly being worth less and less.
Cheers

My god, if I lived in the UK. Mine has a more powerful engine, but won't look that good when done, and I have 15,000 quid into mine (fifteen
thousand pounds in your money). You'll have it sold very quickly and your garage can go back to a golf club/bicycle/lawn mower, garden tools
storage like everyone else.

You must be crackers, to be so close to finishing and not to see it through.
What a bargain for some one else though.
If i where you i would look for some encouragement from somewhere, that is a nice car mate.

Cheers lads, I know I'm daft I really do, but like I said the love's gone! It was a realisation over the past week that I just want to
return to a normal life and not feel guilty for not spending every free hour in the garage. I feel like I'm letting you all down, but
them's is the facts as it were
Gary, cheers for your help over the last few months mate I really do appreciate it.
Angus 180, those figures sound about right.
Cheers
