Any alternative to zetec water rail??
When I build my next zetec powered spitfire (having rolled the last one) I would prefer to NOT use the raceline type water rail. There is not enough
spce for the std thermo housing at the rear, so is there any alternative? Ideally something that just gives me a 32mm outlet sort of like a cut-off
water rail.
Is anybody fabricating this sort of stuff?
TIA

Some zetecs have an elbow there instead of the housing, still sticks out a bit but not as much. No idea what car tho sorry.
Took a similar outlet off a zetec SE engine in a scrappy once, it had the thermostat behind it, nice and neat, again don't know if it will fit
the bigger zetec.
Saw a solution in one of the ford mags, possibly ClassicFord, basically a milled block with a water way that turned the outlet 180 to exit facing
forwards above the exhaust.
There are solutions if you look hard enough

Clive, you could try Retro ford. They can supply parts for fitting Zetec's into loads of different old Ford's and so they might have what
you are looking for.
