Well worth £80 for the lot... the type 9 will bolt straight up, only thing needed is a Capri release bearing.

1.8 out of an Escort is the most straightforward RWD zetec. Short sump, water pump goes the right way etc..

Going to Newark? Hunt me out and Ill show you how easy it is.

You will also need a spigot bearing. About £5 off ebay.
Ford part number is FINIS code 1554973

The clutch release bearing you will need is CT 133.

Also the starter motor from a CVH Sierra.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

I have the same engine (albeit out of an Orion Si) waiting to go in my car

I got a bargain, the engine was only £40, but £80 for just the engine is a good price. As you've the whole car you could just stick some of the bits you don't need on ebay and make some cash back.

I sold the inlet manifold (ally with HO cast into it) on ebay and made £50-odd

If you don't want the hassle, couldn't you remove the engine fro the donor and leave the carcass on the seller's drive for him to dispose of and make a few quid ? Might be cheaper than paying for a recovery truck.

Unfortunately not

The 'GTI' had the same 115bhp engine, ecu and throttle body as the 1.8LX etc, from 1997 onward.

Only the XR3I and SI came in 130bhp derivatives to 1998.

Ive had both as road cars.

thanx for the info lads!

i think im going have to remove the engine at his as he is now saying he wants £100 4 for the hole car or £80 for the engine!

so should i remove with the engine i.e to get it running ecu, etc? sorry im am a little bit of a noobie to all this

so if theres anyone handy with a spanner local to me and willing to give a hand to remove it for some beer tokens please let me know
