BEC - need some info dimensions.

Doing some planning and measuring up at the moment and need some info on bike engines.

Could any of you BEC builders measure up the space a bike engine requires in the engine bay.

Looking to try and squeeze two in.

Paul

have you seen those 1000bhp holeshot ones i think they cost 24,000,

do you remember that caterham rs levante that cost 115,000,god i bet who got that is kicking them selfs if there reading this,

so 2 of those engine say 52,000 that leaves 63,000 to build the car,
thinking about it that would probally be the price of the gear box

Just took some rough measurements from my zx10's.

The engine:
48cm wide
48cm long
58cm high

My engine bay size, 96cm wide and 79cm long. Obviously every engine is going to be different. newer engine will be smaller and lighter. the ZX10's i have weight 80kg's with the starter and alternator attached. I think 60-70kg's is realistic for newer engines.
