tyres?
Built my mg with 250bhp what 15" tyres would be recomended for hill climbs & sprints, i had r888 in mind but they seem to of shot up in
price. Jon

Hi
An S2000 midget will be in Sport Libre I reckon, so slicks.
If you're planning on driving it there then R888, GGG compound (you could kill the really soft SG's on the way..)

are slick's much better than 888 or any cheeper & where would be the best buy. gratefull for any advice. jon

Hi
Tyre performance is a huge variable to try and put an estimate on but the general consensus seems to be; - If a normal road tyre (MSA 1a list) was
doing a 60 second run, a good track day / MSA list 1B tyre (such as a R888) would be a few seconds quicker, going to sprint / hillclimb slicks is
going to be a similar step.
IF the car's setup is altered to suit of course.
For slicks the use of Avon's is pretty much the defacto standard - BMTR is one source, probably be worth asking for their advice on compunds and
available sizes - but they're expensive..
