What bonnet clips to get???

hey people
Last year i had the problem of my bonnet pasting over me and the wifes head just after overtaking a car, luck I wasn’t on the motorway.
Funny when i think back to it.

However i am having a problem deciding what clips to go for? i think i am best getting some that lock down in position to prevent them coming undo when driving about.

so what clip do you people think i should get?

AND

Is it just me that has had the bonnet past over my head?

cheers

rob

I like the aerocatch dooda,s, but a bit costly for me

May i ask ( sorry to hijack the thread) ....

would lock n twist Dzus fasteners work? & would they pass IVA ?

When i raced bikes all body work was held together with Dzus fasteners, never had one come undone.

input appreiciated, & again, sorry for hijack.

cheers

Someone on here used to have an avatar that was a picture of their bonnet flying off - not seen it for a while though. I would have thought dzus were ok

I have had my bonnet flying over my head - funny later, but scary and worrying at the time.

I have the rubber 'IVA' type, but my problem was caused by me not doing them up - not a failure of the fastener.

I have aero catches at the back and rubber ones at the front.

Dzus fasteners will be absolutely fine, I've used them on literally thousands of aircraft access panels and, touch wood, have never had a panel come off!

I know two people who've lost bonnets, so you're definately not alone.
I quite fancy big leather straps, 1920's brooklands style
