running in my pinto

Hi just about finished rebuilding my 2.2 pinto.How would you guys recommend running it in and what oil should i use,cheers

As above really, rag it once you've bedded the cam in.

I used a cordless drill with a nut spinner on it with the dizzy out and spun up the oil pump untill the spray bar squirted over the cam so I knew all the galleries were full then replaced the dizzy, timed it and fired it up.

This is a good idea with a new build, rather than turning it over with the plugs out to build pressure

When I built my my last Pinto I pre packed the oil pump with vaseline (petroleum grease). Works a treat
