I have some ideas

Talking to some custom frame builders at the moment.

Transmission will be 6 speed left side drive (ok for up to a 280 tyre with primary offset)

Going to run a 240 rear and 140 front tyre. I want it to handle reasonably well as it will have enough grunt to get a shift on!

35 deg rake

3.25" open primary.

+4" forks to move the neck up and give it a proper custom stance without the massive rake.

David

Its on the big side I will say. Standard harley big twin is 88ci (1450) or 96ci (1570). Then the custom engine builders do engines up to 145ci (2400) now... very very expensive though!

Oh and yes I will have a build site - again. Probably on my customworkshop.co.uk website...

My brother is into choppers , we were thinking about importing them. He lives Texas and they are easy to get hold of, and parts are ridiculously cheap compared to here.

Thats a lovely engine, my brother has a contact for chromed sidedraught Dellortos at very reasonable money if your interested.

Heres his bike.

A recent shoot for some calendar apparently

Check out the sidedraught, sucks in small dogs, babies and .....

Choppers never handle well! Rake and trail are always too high and tyres too wide thats why superbikes run 190 section rears and a third less rake

should look pretty though

My brother runs a decent orange chop in Texas and also a Heritage Softtail...

Straight flat roads suit the chop.

So yes they look great, but not for damp UK.

Big cubes check this out....

I am talking about handling relatively

Superbikes do nothing for me at all....

As long as you keep the rake sensible they can be fun on the twisties as well.

Your right,

I drive a Lada Niva.....

Its not for the handling and looks believe me.

I have a saying "Different is good"

Chops are the dogs nuts in design and individuality, they are not superbikes thats why Mr Rossi isnt riding one in Moto GP.

Performance yes, but you just think more about it before applying it.

Make sure you post some pics of it...

Triumph Rocket 3 is a 2.3 litre engine. I'll stick with my little Honda 900 thanks. I don't like the X men riding position.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
