I was not aware that ford ever produced the pinto (ohc) in a 1300

I think they were almost all in the continental mk1 sierra's and not very common at that - I'd probably start looking in germany...
but I've got to ask why you'd want one ?

I knew Fords made a 1300 Pinto but I've never seen one even in left hand drive Taunus's or Sierra's

Have owned 2 of them, both were 3 doors and both were mk1 sierras an A and a B registration. Bought both to take the diff from them, they had 3.77:1
ratio diffs which are sought after in oval racing circles. If you guys think a 3.18 diesel diff is hard to get try finding a 3.77 it's even
harder. Sold cylinder heads to other racers to use on 1600 pintos as they could increase the compression ratio without needing to have machining done
to the 1600 heads (illegal mod in their class but impossible to tell without stripping the engine).
If you can find a 1300 now you'll easily get £500 for the diff from your local stock car racer.

Sierra Mk1 3 Door Rolling shell -- Cosworth, XR4, Ford on eBay (end time 15-Feb-11 19:37:35 GMT)
Sadly no engine but might have the diff. Quite cheap too for such a rare motor. Can you imagine that one day one of these might be worth as much as a
mk1 Escort!!!!

It wont have a rare diff Darren, he says it was a 1600 originally so it should probably have a 3.62:1 in it. Stll it's a rare shell these days
so it will interest someone.
