Help - Savage horn switch wiring?

Hi folks, i'm in the process of changing the steering wheel horn push button to a savage dash mounted switch on my MK but have got stuck trying to get the thing to light up when my lights are on.

I didn't build the MK but there are two other savage switches already ion the dash, one for start and another for the fog light.

I've tested it against the 12v feed for the horn and there are no problems with the light inside it. The wiring diagram doesn't make much sense to me as I know very little about electrics!

Heres the wiring diagram, can someone explain?

I've connected the horn part to pins 1 & 2 as per the instructions. 1 is + 2 is - and it works

How can I get it to light up with the other switches? Can I take a feed from one of those?

Thanks in advance

Iain

If you want it to light up you will need a feed from the ignition.

Do the others light up when the ignition is switched on or do they light up when required?

I would guess the fog light only comes on when the switch is in use.

The start button may be on all the time or when the ignition is switched on.

If the start light stays on with the engine running I would guess its fed from the ignition easy to test. Then you could use that one to feed your new horn.

The connections for light are the two in the middle marked A and B, just take wires from adjacent switch.
Make sure there the right way round as the light is led so makes a difference, just guess and swop if wrong.
