Over filling zx12 oil level

Hi all,

Ive currently got a zx12r engine with Andy Bates 360 deg sump. My engine has had the oil sighting glass replaced with a large bolt which has a 4mm hole drilled down its length. This is then blocked off /tapped with a smaller bolt.

I have been filling the engine to the point oil begins to flow out of the bolt and then topping this off with an extra 250ml. Is this in line with what other people do ?

Cheers
Tris

I've got the exact same sump and bolt arrangement as you on my zx12r engine, I fill it until it starts coming out the bolt hole and thats it, I don't put any more in. That equates to filling it to the upper limit if the standard sump and sight glass were there, I always check the level every 250miles or so and retop accordingly.
Hope this helps.
