Oups , i did it again

Hello,

Well, after building a Robin Hood 2b ( this car was destroyed by fire in the house) and a Westfield XTR2,

i have commit to buy a tiger E1.
The kit is almost complete, but the car is at the rolling chassis stage.
I will collect it in 2 weeks.

So , i will come with lots of question about engine etc..

First is : which engine do you recommend ?
I have a KMS ECU ( same as on my XTR2) and i was thinking to go for a Duratec instead of a Pinto, but will it fit in the car ?

Second question is : will a tiger GTA body fint on my E1 chassis ?

I will post some pictures once the kit will be home,

duratec shouldnt be an issue, gta body is designed for the avon chassis so i think you would struggle to get it to fit without lota of work, check out www.tigerownersclub.co.uk

the duratech will fit fine, as for the body GTA wont fit, you could alter it fit a supercat body kit that allows 205 tyres to be fitted instead of 195's.

as above tigerowners will have all the answers

Hello,

here we are !!

After a fast but long trip to Manchester aera (1.700 km in total), the Tiger E1 kit is finally home.

I was thinking to store it and start the build next spring, but i can't wait to start.

So first thing is to decide which engine i will use.

I was thinking of using a Duratec, but in the parts , i have a Pinto shortened sump, exhaust, starter, alternator and a type 9 propshaft.
So i think that i will start with a 2.0 EFI Pinto.

I also have home a zx12 injection ramp and a KMS ecu , but i think that i will start with the standard ford EFI injection and ECU.

Difficult thing will be to find that engine and gearbox here in Belgium.

Next thing will be to remove some parts of the rear and front suspension to sand blast and powder coat .
(kit was bought in December 2001, so some rust is appearing on some metal parts, but the powder coating of the chassis looks good)

Seller told me that the diff was a 3.14, but how can i check that ?
Is there any marking on the diff that i can check ?
