Is This Guy Serious...

Who in their right mind would try and repair a bent Lotus tub by cutting-and-shutting one end of the chassis???

Given I had an Elise chassis scrapped because the glue in a joint had cracked.......

The chopper's a really specialised item and anyone considering parting with £50k+ would do full homework (CAA?).

The guy's feedback is exemplary. He's only been selling on ebay for 12 months, but he's shifted a lot of top-end gear in that time. Porsche, Aston etc, plus Lotus, TVR etc.

He must be doing something right. It does make you wonder though: where do bits of glued fibre tubs that have obviously been in big shunts/fires, end up???

I looks that way.
- Obviously its not an elise, exige and a vx220 all at the same time, but the chassis are effectivly the same.

It's not to repair a chassis, the Aussies do the same thing buying cars from Japan. They call it a front cut and it includes the steering and engine as far back as the A pillar.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

He's got some right gear for sale, I wonder where he's sourcing so many prestige scrap motors? Must have good contacts! A couple of nice powerplants for sale!

Yep, seen a lot of these. It's a great idea as you get pretty much everything and the salvage yard don't have to strip it all down.
