Wheels

Hi all,

Need a bit of advice regarding a set of wheels I plan to sell.

I have a set (5) 16" lattice wheels from a 93 XJ12 that are in fairly good condition but would obviously benefit from a professional refurb.

I am aware that these wheels are quite rare but would I recoup the cost of the refurb or should I just sell them as they are.

A good recon will cost £160 but to get that extra back I would guess not!!! Although if someone really wanted them yours would sell quicker than someone else's who aren't done up......

Thanks

I know exactly were your coming from, as i put some Rs style alloys on here earlier today

Personly i think selling them un restored would be better, as the buyer sees exactly what there getting, and also there is no needless cost to your self

in the current climate do you really want to spend £200 plus for them to be restored, and all to get an extra £100, or just sell the items, at no cost to yourself and your wallet gets a top up

If people think a refurb is £200+ you might make more for the wheels if you have them done first.
There's a place in Bradford who strip and powdercoat wheels for around £20 each, they can't be the only place doing it for that price.
I'd have a search on Ebay for finished auctions and see they're going for and get a couple of quotes from local powdercoaters.

Actually I'd probably stick them on Ebay and make a loss, but that's just me
