Garage roof help.

Evening all.

I am looking for some advice from any roofers or or anyone in the building trade. I am currently building a timber garage and am in the process of looking for a roof. I will be using tile effect box section but am worried about condensation so was thinking of using breathable membrane under the box section, Is this a sure way to cut out condensation? I am aware you can get anti-condensation sheets but I have worked out that it will be cheaper to use breathable membrane if it will work ok.
any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Rob

I have a very large garage, and it was roofed with corrugated metal sheets, (it was like that when we bought the house). As you say, the condensation was horrendous. - I lashed out £1200 to get it spraybonded (it was 45 sq metres!) The spraybond worked a treat - more pics in my archive under 'garage condensation problem'.

ouch

I'm looking into this just now for my new garage (tin sheet), but I think you've just scared me off getting it spraybonded - I've got nearly 80 sq.m

I think I'm going to end up framing it up for a ply lining with the cheapest insulation I can get, but I'm still working on the details......

Breather felt will work you a min air gap of 25mm either side for it to work properly. We do one called vent 3 its £69 a roll + vat for 75m2 (1.5 x 50mtr)
