Advice for tintop build

Hi

My mate has an old Civic he has used for trackdays for a couple of years. At the moment he is stripping it down to fit a cage and various other bits with a view to doing a bit of racing. Not sure what series.

I am looking for advice with the fuel system and what is/isn't generally allowed.

Fuel pipe. Rubber? Braided? JIC fittings? Clamps?

Can it be run through the car?

Does the fuel tank/swirl pot need to be seperated from the passenger compartment?

I know these may seem like stupid questions, but looking in the Blue Book doesn't really help.

Any links to sites with more info would be great!

Cheers

theduck is right.

You could end up wasting alot of money on parts that are ineligable.

This championship could be a good starting point or if you fancy some endurance racing the 750mc have a roadsports series http://www.750mc.co.uk/formulae/roadsports.htm but the car must be road legal but you can do pretty much what you want but i wouldn't go above 140bhp per tonne in a front wheel drive car.

OR find a series that doesn't require an ARDS license like Sprinting and Hillclimbing or Time attack!!

Hope this helps!!

I personally have done quite a bit of sprinting and hillclimbing so any further questions please feel free to ask.

Stick to the MSA blue book and you wouldn't be too far wrong I would say.

Any feelings on which series? Jap specific or more general?
