Which Crimp Tool?

I'm looking for a ratchet crimp tool for uninsulated F type terminals to make my next loom.

Any ideas? I like the look of the one in the CBS catalogue but its hardly locost.. I can get thousands of terminals for the cost..

http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Ratchet_Version_Proper_%27F_Crimp%27_Crimping_Tool_Kit_CRPTL3

Anyone recommend a decent ratchet crimper?

If you look around you will get the same one for circa £17-18, which is about the right price.

Yes thats expensive.

£17/18 is the right price, although I paid £8 off Ebay many years ago.
The ratchet crimpers are the way to go for long term reliability for the crimped connections.
Dont use the £2.50 non ratchet plier type, they do work, but dont crimp to the correct tension, and can leave you with niggling electrical faults after some years of use.

Be aware there are rachet crimps for insulated and different crimpers for uninsulated crimps.
They are not expensive, and mine have rewired 3 landrovers, and a kit car, not to mention a load of other smaller jobs.

I too have the same one as CBS are selling, but I have had it for 15 years now and forget how much it was, but 9"' Ratchet Crimper Plier Crimping Tool Cable Wire Electrical Terminals New | eBay is one very similar to that one and far cheaper than CBS.

That one is for insulated crimps, OP wanted uninsulated.

Well its definitely exactly as the photo, and sizes match the description, there no way I can see it working on insulated terminals. Haven't used it yet as I dont want to waste terminals as I have nothing that needs connecting yet!

I have seen ratchet crimpers for sale with interchangeable jaws.
Is there anywhere that sells only the different jaws to fit the ratchet crimpers?
I have looked but haven't found any.
