Puma ECU advice urgent

I have a 1.7 Sigma engine in my kit (1997 Ford Puma 1.7 VVT). It has it's original ECU from the Donor car and it works fine. I have had the engine mechanicals upgraded to Racing Puma spec and want to remap the ECU accordingly and get 20BHP almost free.

Unfortunately I have an early ECU called Dude and according to Pumaspeed they do not have the ability to remap that particular version.

In frustration I have purchased a 2000 year ECU from ebay see item: 111105045827.

I have the following urgent questions.

1) Is their any differences that matter in the wiring loom

2) I assume the key information is hard coded into the ECU therefore I have to change the lock?

3) How do you remove the old barrel?

1 - check the ford TIS for specific pin outs
2 - yes
3 - put key in, turn to pos1 then press the small indent on the lock barrel, it should push down and barrel pops out.

Just to check, can that new ECU take the FRP map? I know only certain ones can, but i dont know which.

what ecu have you got iirc you need a TAPE ecu to be able to map it, there are other companies other that pumaspeed that can do it.

have you got the inlet and the cams then also?

The original loom is DUDE and the new ECU is DIVE, excuse my ignorance but what is Tape(1)(2)?

My loom has nothing on 75 or 80

TAPE & DIVE are the ECU codes. IIRC the TAPE is single lambda DIVE is twin

FRP map can be loaded to TAPE and MUFF but most people prefer TAPE

My friend breaks pumas so if you need anything specific I can ask him
