Does it have to be turbo'd? a well set up c20xe will be roughly 200-230bhp. i was advised against turbocharging as the non linear power delivery
can affect driveablility
supercharged zetec? or supercharged c20let/z20let?

or i would look at upping the turbo size and the engine revs to give top end and linear delivery like my turbo setup does
speccing the engine right for a lightweight car means that you do get usable grunt, you downt want peak torque at tow revs and a big boost spike
i run 340bhp on 205 r888 rear tyres and have no grip issues in the dry in a straight line

Z20LET here... with a VXR turbo.
272bhp and 308.8ftlb torque. Fairly easy install and much easier to get than the C20LET which is a bit long in the tooth now
Very drivable and goes like a scalded cat on speed

Bottom end is very similar. Heads kinda similar.
Z20let makes more power standard form.
Difficult to get c20let engine and parts now. Especially oem parts.
