Weber carbs

Just brought a pair of twin webers. They are DCOM and not DCOE which from what I understand they have vacum take offs that you dont normally have on DCOE's., Anyway the take offs are blocked off and I noticed that a few subtle differences. Im led to believe that these are just like the DCOE's in the fact that I can tune them for my pinto. Can anyone shed any further light on these type of carbs and any problems people may of had in the past using these.

Cheers

Rob

I would have thought they would be ok, although I believe they were often fitted to Novas or Corsas so the Chokes and jetting is likely to be all wrong.

Prepare to spend some money on them to get them working well on your pinto

They are basically the same as the DCOE. I ran some on my Pinto before i went Vauxhall and never had any problems. Obviously you will have to jet them accordingly but as they use the same jets that shouldn't be a problem.
