1.8 Zetec Flywheel

Hi all,

I'm on the lookout for a 1.8 zetec flywheel to replace the anchor of a 2.0 flywheel on my blacktop engine.

If anybody has one could you reply on here or send me a U2U.

Thanks in advance,

Al

I've got (from memory) a 1.8L Zetec silvertop flywheel in the garage.... Will confirm this evening when I stick head in the garage. If I have, it's yours if you want to arrange a courier or pay for postage!

i have a rwd cvh flywheel modified to fit a zetec thats lighter than a zetec one with complete newish type9 clutch spare

you will need to fit a trigger wheel to the front of the crank

i also have a spare 1.8 zetec one but i want to hang on to it untill i can find a real light one to replace it

I am looking for one. The sierra cvh efi flywheel that I picked up last week was as heavy than the 2.0 Mondeo. But would take a rwd drive clutch with a standard thrust bearing. The fwd flywheel is indeed lighter but I cant be bothered with a trigger wheel. The clutch is tiny, around 190mm from memory.

The cvh flywheel will take a 220mm mondeo clutch and the plate will fit on a rwd gearbox spline - half the price of a pinto clutch
Get a late efi cvh flywheel, they have the pick ups on the back and are about 6kg so win win
I use one and it revs like a bike

big_wasa, I'm in the same boat... I've every type of flywheel except the one I need!

Charlie_Zetec has kindly sorted me out so just waiting on delivery so fingers crossed it's a 1.8 flywheel.

Quick question that one of you might know the answer to...

Will a 2.0 mondeo clutch mate up to the 1.8 (Silvertop) flywheel?

As far as I know the 1.8 zetecs use a 220mm clutch cover and the mondeo use a 240mm so I'm a bit confused??

No mate
2.0 flywheel is recessed
1.8 220mm will be ok unless youve got big power
They can move a mondeo pulling a caravan !!
The alternative is to have it drilled for a sierra clutch
Theyre twice the price to buy so i stuck with the mondeo unit
Did a sprint meet a couple of weeks ago and had no issues

But that's for a cvh and if your quick you can have the rest of the engine to go with it
