Fuel System - screwed sealing joints?

I've decided to take my Indy racing in Mag 7s so am working through the regs.

The MSA Blue book on fuel lines states:

5.13.2. They may only be joined by screwed sealing joints or vehicle manufacturers approved joint.

Does anyone know what this actually means?

Will my rubber fuel hoses with fuel pipe clips pass scrutineering? They have a screw?

Thanks

David

The devil is in the detail of the wording!

"joined" implies two lines joined.

For a line, in one piece, "terminating" at a filter/pump/tank/carb/regulator/fuel rail - I would not consider this a "join" and the usual hose clamps would be perfectly acceptable.
