Camber settings?

What is everyone using as far as camber settings ? I have planned on 2.2 degrees of negative camber based on models and simulations but what is everyone else actually running?

Thanks

1.5
I know I should change it for each track, and I'm sure that both fronts should be different. However back in the real world where I can't afford testing, I leave it at 1.5 all year around, and don't seem to do too badly!

Based on advice i've been given i've got my left front at 2.5 and my right front at 1.5 since most of our tracks are comprehensively right-handed.

I did have 1.5 on both but i borrowed a tyre temp gauge from someone after a pratice session and saw that i was only using the outer edge of my front left. It's more even now.

But having seen Simon Hunter's video of you, you appeared to be using all sides of all tyres spinning out of devils elbow - not a place I'd like to spin!

Eeek, was that you Rob last weekend.

Glad to hear your ok, that looked like it might get nasty for a while. Once saw a single seater do pretty much the same, ended up having to abandon the race meeting as he was taken to hospital with the circuit doctor.

No, Rob only spun. The bad spinner was a kit-car - and the driver got out and walked away (eventually).

The spin was quite a surprise and really put me off for the rest of the session. I've done quite a few laps of Mallory now (it's my home track, just 10 mins away) but never had any problem with Devil's Elbow, wet or dry.

I'll be more careful in future!

10 mins away ........ so you're a local lad. you'll have to come to the locost midlands get togethers. We meet just north of Coventry.

(how many times have i said that recently!)

That's an idea. There's a monthly Car Club meeting with people from my work but the attendance is patchy at best. Many of the people who go spend half their lives on this board anyway so i may try and persuade them to join in a general Locost meeting.

Let me work on it.

Rob
