Renault Clio Problem
Hi all, got a problem with my daughters Clio. It seems that whe you turn the ignition on sometimes the immobiliser doesn,t deactivate.Is this likely
to be a fault with the key or the lock.Also the car shut down when driving a couple of times but when you turn the ignition off and turn it back on
its all ok.When you try to start it first thing the engine spins but no ignition? Any thoughts?

if you unlock them and dom't put key in ign ithin about 30 seconds immobiliser will come on again allthough yhey can be prone to keys wearing
out try new batteries in keyfob if the keyfob feels worn get a new one not cheap though about £80 for key fob and programming can be £25-£40 approx

Wow thats expensive.The car is still under a dealers three month warranty so i think they will be getting a call tommorow.We hoped it would be an easy
fix so we could carry on using it,but life is never that simple.Any other advice would be good ie can the immobiliser be disconnected so we can keep
using the car?

Try keeping the unlock button pressed as you turn the key until it starts, Strangely works for one of out Kangoo vans.
