Making a dashboard
Have any of you gents got a good way of creating a template to fit in the recess in the scuttle for a dashboard? Other than cutting and trimming until
it fits, I cant think of a better way....
Cheers,
David

Make one out of cardboard first. If you make mistakes you can easily sellotape bits back. Once you are happy, transfer the cardboard to your material
and mark it out.

Lay the scuttle on a piece of card and mark the inner and outer faces, then a bit of perserverence with selotape as suggested.

If you want I could trace the outline of my carbon fibre (effect) dashboard onto thick paper for you and send it on. This is exactly GTS scuttle size
(GTS-202).

The picture in my archive is actually the picture from the GTS site. Mine will hopefully look like this once my clocks are in, but as yet I am in a
much earlier state of build.
How far have you got and where abouts are you from ?
P.S. David, I havent forgotten about the template, will get it done tonight.

Ha I see now nice dash I cant wait to see your one when It's done.
As for my build so to date. I can now get into my 18ft long Garage for the first time in years after 3 car boot sells of my lovely child's old
toys and the other junk the wife just keeps throwing in there so locks all sorted out ready to paint the floor now a job that has been put back and
back I have my Haynes Manual and the GTS plans for the chassis came by post last week also have printed out Darrens Build Manual so done my reading
Have a new mig and have quite good at sticking bits of scrap together with it now. I used to weld quite a lot but old skills need some practice.
Donor Car is sat there looking at me ready for the chop but still has some Tax and Mot left so using it as a run around being a estate has been very
handy
and most useful. Will get around to painting the floor this week as I had a head gasket go on the cinquecento Just as well I had the Donor to hand.

Can someone do me a favour and quickly measure the height and width of the GTS scuttle/dash area? Only need rough measurements.
Cheers,
David
