whats the difference in overall standards?

I've got some overalls which are a little to large so I'm looking at getting some new ones. My current ones are FIA 1986 standard and the ones I'm looking at are the FIA 8856-2000 standard. Looked on the web for the differences but can't seem to find anything. Anyone know or can post me a link please.

Not wanting to steal your thread Craig, but do you know what the 'lifetime' of overalls is? Do they have a 5-year approval like helmets or is it longer?

Mine are 5 years old and past their best, but new ones are pretty expensive!

Dont think they have a lifetime Rob, as long as they comply with the standards and are clean, free of tears etc then thats fine. Mine are also old and way too big for me but I got them at a very good price! Could do with some that fit though as I'm going for the posing factor in the pits this year

Still don't know the difference in standards however!

Ah well, I missed out on the ones I was going for anyway, some people don't do any research before bidding and pay silly prices!! I'll wait for the next bargain to come along.
