Bike clock covers for SVA
Wheels244 - 26/1/09 at 08:15 PM

I've used the R1 clocks in the centre of the dash, so some of them fall out of the exclusion zone, so will fail on edges.
Can people post pics of the way they have overcome this please - covers etc.
I don't want to recess them behind the dash as I've made a rather nice job of mounting them if I say so myself.

Thanks

My exempt area came just past the centre line of the clocks. I made a hood from ally' and edge trim with a couple of of brackets to mount it to the clock mounting screws. Between that and the handbrake the edges were out of reach.

I did intend that it'd fall off later but it grew on me...and it keeps the passenger from seeing the speedo!

A tidy solution but my handbrake is a lot further back, so would probably still be able to contact bottom edge with just a hood fitted.

Any more ideas ?

John

Is that foam around the clocks ?
I was thinking of surrounding mine with foam to prevent the ball contacting the 'sharp' edges but didn't know if the tester would turn his nose up at it.
Have you still got it ?

Yep it's a hard foam. also had the same stuff on my omp steering wheel

it all when back to mnr as its their "sva kit"
