There, at last!! it's only taken 7 years and 8 months to do. I did say i'd be driving it in a year when i ordered the kit back in 2001.
I filled in the form and attached a set of photo's and a cheque.
only thing now is to actaully finish the car!!
I asked for a date after april 15th, so hopefully get something round there, cos right now the engine don't run due to having no carbs on site.
no lights are wired up, bonnet still needs fitting. lots of SVA freindly trim needs doing. mirrors, seat fixings, wiring the dash fully. etc etc.
my amin worry is its taken so long to get this far, i need a miracle now to get it fully finished for SVA, mainly due to me being bone-idle, and
having no confidence at all in my abilities.
perhaps i should organise a weekender with free food and cups of tea/coffee/beer, to encourage some lovely folks to help. I already have one helper, i
just need a good kick up the arse!

weather looks better for Tue / Wed next week. We need to get that engine started and the lights wired up at the rear.
Sent mine off today as well asking for April 17th as I seem to be about as advanced as you are....... Now it's PANIC

and the engine is back out on the floor to go with the gearbox and rear axle

There isnt much to do really anyway - two full days i recon should see it complete (if we get the weather to crawl underneath it). Did you sort an air filter?
right, so i sent my application last friday.
not heard anything through phone or post and cheque has not been presented to my bank account as of this morning.
when should i start to get worried???
