Just filling in the SVA forms to send of in the morning,
just a few questions
1- certified copies /pictures of the build
Do i sign on the back or over the copy stating something like- i confirm this is a certified copy of the original , the date and sign it?
2-Q2 Vehicle make- Its a luego velocity, should i put that? just concerned that they would contact luego for a chassis number ?
Q3- should my chassis number start with something in particular, have maximum number of numbers etc- was thinking of a combination of initials , build
date, my birthday, mrs birthday etc
thanks
deadline is tight and it aint even finished OMG
You need to have sorted a chassis number before you apply. You need that number stamped onto the chassis at the SVA - so how can you leave it blank?
Contact your local DVLA office and suggest one - if they don't like it they'll send you one. As far as I know, they will send you one
beginning with 'S'.
As for the photos, I just signed them on the front, with the words 'Certified Copy' next to my signature.
Vehicle make would be 'Luego' unless you want it to say something else.
I wrote "certified copy" then signed it, on the copied side, I doubt they mind.. I hope thats correct as I sent the forms Monday!
There is a letter concerning VIN and what you can include to a search...
Good luck

Just be aware - each DVLA office has different rules. I made my own number up, and it was rejected on the basis that it was 16, not 17 digits (not the
same rules as written in the letter on the post above)....
The number must be stamped in a readily accesible place on the drivers side. I have gone for one of the chassis tubes in the engine bay.
Actually they all have the same rules, it's just some local offices are more incompetent than others.
If VIN numbers have to be 17 digits what do they do for Jap imports which IIRC are 15 and are SVA on that number?
I asked my local office that when they quibbled my 16 digits and then suddenly they decided maybe they could register it after all....
As per the link by Bluemoon (Dan)
I made mine up using just numbers.
Went to the DVLA (Maidstone)
Told them it was issued by the Haynes Roadster Club.
I asked them to check it was OK.
ie, not used by anyone else.
If you do this, get the persons name.
Then if there is any arguement,
you can tell them it has already been checked by...(Add Name).
