MK seat shells - edging?
FASTdan - 18/2/09 at 10:41 PM

is edging strip required for the FG seat shells in an MK indy?

I would assume not, given that it is a narrow surface, not a protrusion - but then I thought it was required around cycle wings (that are pretty much same thickness etc)?

We trimmed our seats with edging just to remove the bare fibreglass edges.

yeah you'll be best to trim them for the SVA, woolies trim have suitable small edge trim, I did it to my MK seats and they look very nice

I used the large one and a contrasting colour (red) with black seats and body, I also thought the same as you then I thought radius's also don't forget seat belt cut-outs as the belts could rub on the sharp edges. for the sake of a couple of quid is it worth taking the chance of it being the only thing your car fails on..
