Urgent: SVA/IVA What rpm is the emissions test done?
James - 19/2/09 at 11:43 AM

Just been phoned by a well known forum member who's currently having his car RR'd to set the emissions- as we speak.

The RR want to know at what RPM the SVA/IVA do the emissions test?

Anyone know?

I can't remember from my SVA.

Suspect it's idle...

Thanks!
James

IE 2500 to 3000 rpm which they call a fast idle!! Blooming fast for big V8s!!!!

Just checked IVA and it's at idle unless the HC limits are not met then it can be done at fast idle, must pass CO limits at idlethough.

I had no idea Foz, don't even remember that bit of the test, so I told him to phone you!

Thanks for the info all, passed it on via text!

James
