I just passed my SVA test in southampton and discussed the IVA test with the examiner. He said that so long as you get your SVA done before the cut off date (april i think) then you will have 6 months to get the retest done and it will be done under the old SVA regs Not the new IVA ones.

So if you're worried just get it tested a bit quick.

It still has to be in a state that it can be tested or they will refuse to test and you will be stuck with iva anyway.
