Can you cast your expert eyes over these pics and comment anything that might need covering?
Please ignore the sharp mounting and nut for the indicator, that's been sorted
Looks absolutely stunning. Just one thing. Are the instruments sufficiently radiused?
I've run some foam tape around it, it covers all tested radii, but not sure whether tester will approve..
James
oil cooler?
remember everything that is remotely sharp can fail and it looks like there are a lot of places to check.
oh and it will be bl**dy cold in the winter
should I cover the top and bottom edge of cooler?
If in doubt...cover it!
The front indicator brackets probably need something.

Cant help, mainly because im gawping.
Good job you didnt post a full frontal picture, that would have finished me off .
These are getting saved to the harddrive and I dont care if the missus finds them
maybe just being picky but the flats on the track-rod ends also were you have the mudguard stay going up and it joins the 90 deg piece coming out of
the mudguard is that joint radiused

A fine looking beast that
As said though, the oil cooler would be a worry IMHO. Also, the trim on the top shock mounts on the front - will they be considered too temporary
being held on with cable ties? Depends on the tester I guess?

Certainly is a stunning looking car mate.
Only thing I will add is the old chestnut about the steering wheel.
Mine was equaly covered, but the examiner said it had to be the standard Sierra one.
Some do some don't.......
May be worth having the Sierra one to hand, just incase
Good luck David
PS Just had another thought

Cracking motor. would love to see it in the flesh if your driving though stevenage! (or i could come and dribble!!)
Liking the lights, are they legal and what are they?
Are the front indicators far enough out you are only aloud 400mm from the widest part of the car? [ not just the front wings
Gear lever brackets at the bottom of the stick?

Superb car!
The mountney steering wheel should be fine provided you have mounted it on a collapsable boss. (The Sierra wheel is designed to deform in a crash and
so the collapsable boss mimics this).
Unless its the camera angle, the oil cooler seems to be very exposed to possible damage from the stones that will be constantly sprayed up from the
front wheels. (couldn't believe the amount that collected in my cockpit just from doing a few laps of the centre during my SVA test!
absolutely stunning car but i wouldn't like to have a crash in it.
Is the edge of the floor ok at the back the photo is not good enough to see it clearly
Can i ask is the engine bay ok without a cover over it ? for sharp edges or is that not included in the sva /iva
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and the car!).
As an aside, how did you drill the cycle wings so close to the top? I'm about to do mine very soon!
good luck tommorow james,i'll be there in 10 days
wayne
Looks great, most things covered.
It will be interesting what is said, or not about the oil cooler.
As mentioned it looks really cool where it is but I wonder given the "airflow" you have that it could'nt go elswheer less susceptible
to damage?

Stu is right, it all depends on the tester, as an unproven design I'm expecting a fail, but not going to make hundreds of covers without knowing
exactly which bits he wants doing...
James
It's a bit late now (test today?) but I plan on puting 25mm X 25mm Mesh over my engine bay.
When I had the F1-2 tested, it was one of the failure points and they told me this was the way to get around it.
I think that you will be making lots of grills!
A little birdy told me that even the atom has lots of mesh covers for the test.
I wonder why you don't see them on the customers cars?
