After SVA

Just on the off chance I pass on monday, what's the score with registering the car. Last time I did this I had to book an appointent with the local DVLA office and take it along for an inspection.

However this time when I applied for a chassis number they came and inspected my car at home. Does this mean I won't now have to take the car down to the local office and have it inspected again?

Hi,Jasper.

My understanding is that you can either
take the car for inspection or request
a home inspection. You will have to wait longer for a home visit though.

Correct. Or atleast it was when I did mine!

Why should you need a 2nd inspection?

TBH your DVLA case officer should be able to tell you this. Are you with Wimbledon DVLA? Is it Harsha you're dealing with?
She was really good and really helpful when I was doing it.

Cheers,
James

I think that if you've already had it inspected at home, that's it - go along with your MAC certificate and paperwork (and money...) and hand them over.

Good luck

Nope DVLA Brighton - Nice guy down there I always deal with, he's already give me the registration form, so hopefully fill it in and take the MAC with it and that should be it ....
