ive had to toe out quite a lot to self center- will i fail for this??
I'm guessing no, as long as it still drives ok
wheel alignment isn't part of the test is it? i don't think it is... if its not, then you should be fine. if my tracking was 8mm out yesterday, and i didn't realise, i don't think it'll be an issue
has your VortX got Sierra, or Cortina front end?
when MNR heard i had failed on no self centering they told me that none of their other cortina based front ends had failed on self centering
before...
now i dont know if that means none have failed with correct toe / tyre pressures or not ?!?
The only dynamic test the car goes through is self-centering so as long as it passes that, then there's no problem!! You can have stupid amounts of toe-out making it drive like a dog but as long as it passed self-centering there's not much they can fail you on re dog-like handling!!!!
As far as I'm aware it needs to self centre and have the wheels covered, so it shouldn't make a difference to you, only way I can see it causing problems is if you put huge spacers on the back that pushed the wheels out past the arches....
hi chris with the correct castor you dont need any weird stuff especially not big toe out whats your castor set at ???

marc
