Brake Test Light

I know most have a switch on their handbrakes to activate the brake test light - just wondering if it could also be done via a laching button on the dash?

not sure about a latching button, but a momentary switch like you got on minis would be fine

No reason not to do it via a dash switch although you want a momentary switch not a latching one.

Wanted to use one of the red-coloured Savage switches with a brake-test decal stuck on it.

Figured that if it was momentary, then you wouldn't see the light activate cos your finger would be on the button..

If it was latching, then press it... check for activation... then press again to turn off.

Is my logic flawed (again!).

I see no reason it has to be momentary. After all, the handbrake switch isn't momentary due to the ratchet mech on the handbrake!!!!

Cheers

Already bought one of those and although it was described as a 'push button - brake test', it was neither latching nor momentary. It was just a warning light dressed as a button to match the rest in the range.
