Mitcham retest this morning at 9.00am, pass at 9.15am!
All projections passed, but the most nerve racking thing was the noise test.
The tester accepted my documents showing max power as 10200 rpm and tested at 7650 (not as 8850 on original sva).
With the extra in line box came back as 97dbA
Now off to Wimbledon DVLA to start the paperwork/home visit rolling!
well done
Sorted, you should be on the road by winter
Congratulations!!
AWESOME! I will have to come and see it ASAP

Thanks for all of the congratrulation messages!
Just got back from wimbledon dvla.
Lots of bad info to impart
The dvla in it's wisdom have cut 11 inspection officers from the london area so now there is only one officer for North, South and Central
London. On average, home visits are 8 weeks from MAC presentation.
Also the person incharge of amateur builds/kitcars is only allowed by the dvla to work 3 hours each day on these kinds of registrations.
The good news is that my car is booked in on the 27th of May for me to take it to them (£80 on a flatbed).
I've paid my roadtax (£125) and registration (£55) already so I will get my reg on the 27th.
They didn't bat an eyelid over my new reg request, so here's fingers crossed that I don't get the same hassle as Cloudy.
I will go to Newlands at the earliest opportunity (shiftwork & weather allowing) also Newark if the weather forcast is dry.
Bits will start loosening them selves this afternoon!

congrats on the sva pass, shame to hear bout the dvla woes though.
I've got it all to look forward to.
I'm alright with the recovery, thanks for the offer.
The other little gem explanation was that the reason why vro office phone numbers are no longer given out was because people were posting the phone
numbers on "kitcar forums" and they keep on ringing the phone off the wall!
I wonder which forum they were talking about?!
By the way, all grills have suffered catatrophic mounting failures and removed themselves from the car
I just need to change my belts over to the 6 point jobbies ( I found out that these were ok for sva after I fitted the 4 points ones). The 4 points
are already spoken for, before anyone asks!

Congratulations on your pass, you'll be on the road very soon
Congratulations on the pass .
Had exactly the same at Wimbledon myself.
When I asked where I could park I was told to use the car park at the back.
When I turned up with the Landcruiser and trailer I then realised that it was an underground car park .
Sop you have to park on the double yellow line and press the buzzer and wait for them to come out. When I questioned why I was told there was parking
the guy said she (the kit car lady) likes to mislead people .
Not the best experience I have to say although I am now on the road.
Top news fella, well done, you car looks great btw.
Cheers
Rich
Well done martin, hope to catch up soon.

well done , but what a swine about the big smoke DVLA . do you have to use them can't you trip out of town ?
It's only a week away.
Besides, I might get them to start the tax on 1st June anyway. At least it will allow me a few days to order my plates. I get them from ebay with my
details on rather than some motorfactor's advertising.
