Seems I'm going backwards :(

Delayed my sva retest by a few weeks due to a number of more serious fixes my car needs, well I say needs, I could bodge self centreing and a few electrical gremlins but I want it right.

I'm having to practically strip the car right back, the whole loom is coming out and all the front end is off (brakes, hubs, wishbones, nose cone, shocks etc.) and so is the exhaust, air box and shortly the carbs too.

Feels crap undoing all that hard work, and makes me feel like I'm practically starting the build over again.

Ho hum.

Thought I'd share.

oooh, doesn't sound cool...

what were the problems?

Self centring (getting a set of rose jointed wishbones off wozsher) as I didn't like the feel of no self centre, I didn't think it was safe and I know the Mrs would be put right off by it, and I want her to enjoy it.

Other stuff is emissions, and noise.

I need to repack can, seal an air leak at manifold to end can joint, fit new exhaust gaskets, balance carbs (by ear! don't know how I'll do that!!)

Couple of odd electric gremlins have appeared, so I'm getting some help sorting them out.

I know it's not a lot really, but it does feel gutting taking apart all that work, knowing I have to redo it all!

i suppose the good thing is you know all the bits are there, and you know how they all go together

Keep you chin up, its worth it in the end.

Saying that my car has been apart and back together quite a few times now its on the road as you fiddle with bit and pieces.

Like i say, worth it!!
Keep up the hard work

You'll be surprised how quickly it all goes back together...

Oh and get used to taking bits back off again - how else do you upgrade things
