I have the block type of light cluster, a la Cateringvan,
Do they have to be mounted vertical (the reflector is intergral).
On cateringvans they look higher and better to boot, but in my abridged version of the good book it just says they should be rearward facing...no
sh*t.
Dont want to drill unnecessary holes so help is required.
Mine are just mounted on the rear wing (facing rearwards) and they passed. I think it only applies to the rear hazard.
yours, Pete.
I thought they had to be facing horizontally, ie facing the cars behind you and not shining up towards the sky in any way ??

Pretty sure Deckman is right. I remember Mark Evans built that Westfield on TV and he had to add the spacer to make the cluster parallel with the ground.
I've got the wedge shaped block. The verticallity depends on how far around the curve of the rear wheel arch you set them.
