Hi Chaps,
Can anyone tell me if hazards are an requirement for MOT? I know they are for SVA
Steve
Yep
I guess someone's never sat and watched their car being MOT'd
Rear hazards (red light) and hazard flashers (cashpoint lights) are required for sva and mot unless your car is ancient (1960s) When my motor goes for
mot I am usually under it with the tester watching what he's doing.
yours, Pete.
4 Way flashers are NOT a requirement, the MOT manual states that if a switch is fitted they must work.
My F27 has never had 4 way flashers and has always passed its MOT, until last year and it failed on the 4 ways, i told the chap it had passed every
other, her re-checked the MOT bible, and i read it myself too, Where fitted they must work.
Q platers dont need hazards. But if they are fitted, they must work....
