manual choke position

I've changed the webber to a manual choke . Am I right in thinking that I can put the control/handle in the exempt area that covers the area of the dash in a circle just greater than the size of the steering wheel ?????????

Thanks , Phil

Not just greater but 127mm greater (6 inches) and anywhere on the offside of the wheel.

i didnt realise it was a full 6 inches you were allowed. I've squeezed nearly everything into the area visable thru the wheel!

I have put all the non SVA compliant switches etc. inside the 127mm (5 Inch) exemption area and the rounded stuff outside. Just make sure you can always read the speedo. I was going to use a sierra wheel for the test but the speedo was unreadable so I'm going to stick with the small wheel.

and fitted it on the wife... two hands around the neck sure choked her!

We were advised by MK not to put one on our 'bladed Indy... so far we haven't needed to either!

Better let go of the wife's neck now...

Mate of mine came up with a very nice idea, utilising the original bonet release catch under the steering column cowel.

Replace the bonet release cable with the choke cable and hey presto a nice neat and discreet location.
