Hello,
i finally have an apointment for the DVLA inspection.
What is the inspector supposed to check ?
Only engine and chassis number , or will he check something more ?
Gerardo
It depends on what reg you are going for, if it's a Q he'll just check that all the bits are there, the engine and chassis number.
If it's age related he'll be looking to make sure you've used enough parts from the donor to retain the reg and again the engine &
chassis no's.
If it's a new reg, he'll check everything to make sure it's shiny new.
Hello,
it 's a bike engine.
So i suppose that i can only go for a Q or new reg.
Or could i go for an age related plate?
Gerardo
He will usually want to check your ID as well.
You stll have the option of all 3 with a bike engine.
mine checked, the 2 chassis number's and teh engine number and mile's on teh clock, and that was it.

Had mine today at notts and all they did was check the VIN, look where i had stamped it on the chassis, asked where teh engine number was - i didnt
know as it had been repainted etc and just asked if the parts had come from the donor car. Nothing too intense and was over in 5 mins!! oh and im
after an age related!
Just waitin for my tax now and then im off Yay
