Is there a maximum spacing for brake clips?
(I have
this type).
I cannot find anything in the IVA manual, it only says in section 9D.9 "A brake pipe or hose must be adequately clipped or otherwise
supported."
JB
I thought it was every 6 inches
30cm is the max distance. and they cant touch the chassis.
i did mine every 15cm though just to be safe

There is no written measurement but most people go for the same as what is required for wiring (300mm, comes under General Construction at the end of the manual).
Thanks guys. I'm not trying to skimp on clips, just get it right
Anyone else used those type of clip?

Excellent! Cheers chap
I was waiting for the sharp intake of breath followed by "oooh, no, better off using...."
I was doing my brake lines this morning and have just brought some of them
My only concern is water vapour getting into the chassis tubes.

Having spent most of the afternoon fitting brake lines, I can safely say that the clips were the right decision, they look good and are a doddle to
fit. As far as the moisture issue, They are a really good fit into a 6mm hole, and once the clip is pushed into the housing, I would be very suprised
if water any gets in at all.
I'll put some piccies in my archive later.
